We are accepting resumes for two full time PICU Registered Nurse (RN) positions for the Department of Nursing at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), Tacoma, Washington. This PICU contract runs from February 2012 through January 2013. The minimum assignment length is 13 weeks to start! Bonus is $2500 for 13 week completion and $5000 for 26 week completion.
Qualifications
1. Registered Nurse (RN) shall have a minimum of one (1) year or the equivalent of one year experience within the last three years in the PICU clinical area. Such experience shall have been in an acute care facility with a validated Level 1 or Level 2 PICU. Work in a convalescent care type facility shall not be considered acceptable qualifying experience.
2. Current, active, and unrestricted license from any U.S. state, District of Columbia; or U.S. territory or jurisdiction.
3. Nursing degree must be from a nursing school accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Colleges of Nursing Education (CCNE).
4. Have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is the only acceptable program. Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is highly recommended at the time of hiring. The Contractor may hire the HCP without PALS certification but certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
5. Must be comfortable working with ventilated patients and have the experience and ability to float to other pediatric centric units such as the general Pediatric floor, pediatric patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and NNICU (feed and grow patients).
